The first 4.5 years of Ranger?s life were hard. He lived on a farm but was given little care. Somehow he remained healthy but was underweight. Then a disgruntled farm hand wanted to take revenge on the farmer and ran into Ranger with his vehicle fracturing his leg and hip. A kind soul learned about this and realized the farmer was not going to invest anything to give the veterinary care Ranger desperately needed so she was able to convince the farmer to give her Ranger. Unfortunately the leg could not be saved. This marked a dramatic turn of events for Ranger for the better. His new owner provided great care, attention, and affection and he was able to put on some much needed weight. His true personality shined with this new owner. Sadly his owner soon encountered a serious medical problem and it became too difficult for her to continue giving Ranger the care and attention he needs. She reached out looking for someone to provide a new loving home for Ranger and fortunately MAGSR was able to help her and Ranger out.
Now that Ranger is in his foster home he is proving to be very friendly, loves affection, enjoys going out for walks or patrol the back yard, and playing with his foster siblings. He is ready to settle in his furever home. To continue living a good life Ranger will need daily walks, be given plenty of attention and affection, mental challenges provided by training, and maintaining a good weight. If you can provide this for him you will be surprised what Ranger will give in return. He has certainly put the past behind him and is looking to demonstrate his full potential in a home where he can thrive for the rest of his life.
